How much does it cost to use CloudConnect?
You pay nothing. It's free for non commercial basic use, under the Fair Usage Policy. If you have a commercial website, or application, or need advanced controls, API access, no bandwidth or viewing restrictions, and no ads, then simply purchase the
CloudConnect Commercial Edition.
What do you mean by free for non commercial use?
The CloudConnect Free Edition can be used for basic personal use or if you want to try the product out for a few
days or when you are using it on your personal website to list few documents and
share them with others. Remember the free CloudConnect license is governed by the CloudConnect Fair Usage Policy.
If you have a commercial website (catering to free or paid users), any document sharing websites, where users upload and share documents, or a document storage website, you need to purchase the
CloudConnect Commercial Edition.
What is the CloudConnect Product Fair Usage Policy?
Starting Oct
1,2009 a Fair Usage Policy is being set up on the free usage on the on the CloudConnect product. This change is to limit the load on the servers handling the requests and allow everyone the opportunity to use the product at its optimal performance.
The Free Edition license is governed to a 100 GET document viewing requests each month.
After the 100 documents limit is reached, the requests will no longer be served. If you expect your usage will be more than 100 requests per month, then
you should purchase the CloudConnect Commercial Edition license. There
is no document requests limit on the
CloudConnect Commercial Edition license.
What is the Commercial License of CloudConnect?
A commercial license of CloudConnect gives you added benefits , along with a faster viewing experience for your customers. There are no ads or
pop-ups, no document requests or bandwidth limitations, unlimited usage, your own branding, customized UI,
the ability to switch off printing on

Do I need to upload documents onto your servers to have the documents display in the viewer?
No, documents
always remain on your server. They are rendered on the fly, real-time and displayed in
the viewer when requested. No uploads are needed. If you have very few
documents, we recommend you look at
Docuter, where you can upload a document once and
let your users view them afterwards.
What is Docuter?
Docuter is a
document sharing site where you can upload your documents and share them with
others. You can also embed the document viewer in your web pages, blogs,
facebook, myspace and other social networking sites.

Which programming language can
CloudConnect work with?
CloudConnect is simply HTML code that you add on your web page. So you can embed it any programming
language and there are no requirements on the server side. On the client side
your customers simply need to have Adobe Flash installed to view your documents.
What is the CloudConnect Caching Feature?
An advanced
caching capability is now available to CloudConnect developers to allow faster
document viewing for documents which do not change much and which are not
sensitive or mission critical. (The document cache is switched off by default, and unless you change the settings for your document, it will not be cached on our servers.)

What does passing variables in encrypted form mean?
The CloudConnect Commercial Edition (paid) license allows you to pass your document link and other variables in encrypted form, which offers a very high level of
security.
The encryption is done in 2 call mode, where the first call gets the encrypted data and the second call lets you pass it to the viewer.
